The event that everyone is talking about begins with Flight 1A on Thursday, October 20, to be followed by three additional opening flights before survivors continue on to Day 2 and beyond. Those survivors will be vying for prize money that will probably be in the neighborhood of $800,000 to $1 million for first place after prize pool and bounty winnings are tallied.
The previous edition of the ACR Venom PKO with $5 Million GTD last May saw the winner take home a whopping $814,498. That amount was accumulated via $503,318 from the prize pool and $311,180 in bounties collected along the way.
The bounty money adds up as you knockout your opponents - half of their bounty is yours to keep and the other half gets added to the bounty on your own head. The more players you eliminate from the tournament, the more money you win, hence the acronym PKO - which stands for Progressive Knockout.
A seat to the $5M venom PKO is $2,650, with half reserved for the prize pool and the other half affixed as the bounty.
